Diary #251 Mind Training in the Everyday

If we break down an activity into its parts it's pretty impressive how many can help with mind training.  For example:

  • Cooking might help me tune up my senses
  • Going to a gig with music I love might help me with social connection
  • Sparring, or any other high intensity exercise might help me with brain fog
  • Having a child might help me accept the things I cannot change.

Formal mind training practices such as NLP, neurofeedback, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, mindfulness e.t.c. are great.  But it is really helpful to be aware of what value informal, easily accessible everyday practices can offer too.
