Diary #221 Unforbidden Fruit

I want to stop scrolling on social media every time I get a free moment.


It's quite difficult so I guess I am addicted.  Even mini-habits like pausing-for-one-second-before-viewing a post don't really work.

 

Today I tried something else that strangely enough worked better. For 3 hours I gave myself no restrictions: whenever I wanted to scroll I did. Thereafter back to normal.

 

Somehow my dopamine hit is weaker when something is unforbidden.  Of course it is not a recommended long term strategy but interesting to experiment with.
