Over the last few years I have been rating my days from 1-10 on how good I feel.
Here are two (probably obvious) things that have stood out for me:
- Once feeling good becomes the new normal it feels less good. Ditto with feeling bad.
- Expecting boring and getting average feels better than expecting amazing and getting very-good.
So how is this useful?
Hmm... I can make a cunning plan to make sure my wife enjoys her next birthday...
