8# Rehabilitation
Here are two things I noticed trying to be more mindful (aware of what is going on) during rehabilitation, in this case after injuring my right knee's medial collateral ligament while sparring:
- At times I resent my injury. This creates added tension which has often eased off when a) I recognise my resentment and b) I haven't tried to suppress it.
- Mild pain is quite handy because it reminds me to take it easy. Once it goes, risk of re-injury significantly increases as I now have to manage impatience, which I find particularly tricky.
I wonder if this process is similar in all rehabilitations, not just physical.
