7# Stretching
Here are two things I noticed being more mindful when stretching:
- Pushing myself on a stretch is less productive than fully relaxing into it.
- Doing a ‘body scan’ whilst stretching can highlight seemingly unrelated areas that are tense. For example lifting my arms up I experience a tightness in the chest which can release if I breathe from the belly.
I find that being intentionally more tuned-in to my thoughts and body sensations can make my stretching exercises more effective.
