Diary #129 Exercise + Mindfulness

When you are running or cycling are you aware if your mind is wondering or not?


Does the pace make a difference? Is it possible to use exercise to cultivate focus?

 

When you are lifting weights or doing a sit-ups is there any tension on your face?  Are you straining unrelated muscles and if so why? Is it possible to ease psychological tension through exercise?

 

I am fascinated by the overlap between 'active mindfulness' and exercise.  If you have any views I would love to hear them.
