Have you ever tried being aware of your belly whilst in conversation? Or having your attention simultaneously on your left foot, forehead and the view in front of you?

Perhaps the exercises may sound silly. However, I have found both of them challenging and useful. The first conditions me to not-get-sucked-in an emotionally charged conversation and stay ‘grounded’. The second helps me have a wider field of awareness which is useful when managing a group, such as teaching, or facilitating a meeting.
If you are interested in ‘active mindfulness’ there is an increasing wealth of training. My favourite is Udemy. It builds up with simple 2 min videos and the teacher, James Crow is excellent.
