Recently life has become a lot busier, and I have gone back to using the Pomodoro Technique, which essentially is working on a pre-set task for 25 minutes and then having a break.
It is amazing how helpful it can be with tasks that I can otherwise stretch out for hours. Somehow the short time-frame makes me focus straight away and get unstuck from perfectionism, and the imposed break thereafter is a refreshing mini-rest.
If you are using Pomodoro and have any tips or know of other interesting techniques to counter ‘skilful procrastinating’ I would love to hear them.
