At times and particularly leading up to year-end I may call friends and family to see how they are doing.
How do I really find out though? How do I elicit both the good and the difficult, the full picture?
Asking “How are you doing?” usually does not get me the answer. I know from my own experience that I’m inclined to say “well” or something along these lines.
If someone wants to know how you are really doing, what is a skilful way to ask?
I am posting this on Linkedin, Facebook and email. If we get some helpful responses I will circulate them before the Xmas break.
Any ideas?
